Here is a list of books I have enjoyed reading so far this year, in no particular order:
01
The Color of Water by James McBride
A black man's tribute to his white mother -- an interesting read. In the beginning I found it slow reading. As I read on I was hooked.
02
The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton
A delicious read -- a family saga, mystery at its best and a thriller.
03
A Gathering of Secrets by Linda Castillo
A Terrific Amish thriller -- moves right along with excellent characters.
04
The Dali Lama's Cat by David Michie
A light, friendly, delightful read.
05
The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom
A story of courage and triumph. This book touches your heart.
06
The Dog Men by Patricia Crandall
A chiller about illegal dog fighting. I can actually read this book over and over. I love these characters (the good ones).
07
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith
Love this book. It flows like magic.

08
Agatha Christie Books
Always for my comfort zone and complete reading enjoyment! I am on my second reading of Agatha Christie's books.

09
The Cat Who Series by Lillian Jackson Braun
Who doesn't enjoy the adventures of Jim Qwilleran and his Siamese cats, Ko Ko and Yum Yum!

Here is a short list of books I am looking forward to reading soon!

A Trick of the Light, An Inspector Gamache novel by Louise Penny
Dark Assassin, A William Monk novel by Anne Perry
The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie, a Flavia de Luce Novel by Alan Bradley
